For the surface weathered profiles (0-20m), the assay results reached up to 22.85m at 10.44% Graphite Carbon (Cg), 19.50m at 11.83% Cg and 18m at 13.17% Cg. Below 20m, the deeper non-weathered graphite rich gneiss indicated that the deposit extended at depth.
A total of 20 core drill holes for 460m were drilled using a Jacro 175 core drill rig and were scattered over a strike length of 5.2km on the 8.7km deposit.
The drill holes tested the first 20m of the deposit before reaching the non-weathered graphite rich gneiss with most of them being terminated and only few returning non-weathered graphite rich gneiss.
The Lola Graphite deposit features an oxide surface layer ranging from 10m to 30m in thickness indicating advantages in terms of metallurgy and recovery, the company said.
