From its Barcelona office, Econcern runs its carbon credits business, co-developing and financing projects that reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases, said Econcern.

Kees van der Leun, member of the board of Econcern, said: “As a company we are committed for growth in Spain; the Los Cabezos solar park is an example of the projects we are undertaking.”

According to the company, situated near the Natural Park of Hornachuelos and spanning 4.2 hectares, the new park took six months to complete, with more than 60 employees involved in its planning, design and construction. It said that the capacity of the park would be 2 MW and annual electricity production would be 3,000,000 kWh.

The whole work follows the opening of Econcern’s Aznalcollar solar park (2MW) near Seville. Econcern is a player in the Spanish solar energy market and has projects such as Murcia solar park (13MW), which at the time of construction was the world’s largest solar project, claims the company.

Econcern, a sustainable energy services provider, is driving climate change services. It holds world’s largest group of experts in sustainable energy and energy saving services, claims the company.
