Significant grades and thicknesses of uranium mineralisation have been intercepted at the Mkuju Grand Central prospect where up to 6m at 504ppm U3O8 was returned from the seven hole RC drilling programme.
Grand Central is located along strike of Mantra’s SWC and URA’s Grandfather prospects, demonstrating a potential regional continuity of uranium mineralization.
At Likuyu South, substantial widths of mineralization have also been intersected from RC drilling with up to 3m at 156ppm U3O8 returned. Although exploration is in the early stages, Likuyu South demonstrates significant potential within the delineated 15km long radiometric anomaly.
Based on the encouraging results to date including those for Likuyu North, and anticipated encouraging results for the remainder of the programme, exploration at the Mkuju Project is planned to be intensified in the 2010 field season.
The proposed programme will in-fill and extend the currently identified mineralization at Likuyu North, and expand the mineralization encountered at Likuyu South and Grand Central Prospects.
