The refinery is located 11k south of Blaine and 13km northwest of Ferndale, a few miles south of the Canadian border, on the Strait of Georgia between Birch Bay and Lummi Bay.

Cherry Point Refinery is being positioned to meet the challenges of a diverse and rapidly changing energy market and provides about 20% of the gasoline market in Washington and Oregon.
