The 1,800sqft home spotlighting products was built onsite at IBS as part of the US Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Builders’ Challenge.
Launched in 2008, the DOE Builders’ Challenge is a national energy savings program calling on the US homebuilding industry to build 220,000 new high performance homes by 2012. Under its terms, a high performance home is one using at least 30% less energy than a new home meeting the criteria of the latest national model building code.
Aide Solar said that the recent opening of its North American headquarters in Tempe, Arizona combined with its access to other technologies found within its parent organization, The Panjit Group, a manufacturer of technologies headquartered in Taiwan, positions Aide Solar to broaden its product portfolio and offer ‘green’ solutions to system integrators and installers serving the energy efficiency market.
