The Baraniec-1, which targets a 3-D defined Rotliegend sandstone structure at a depth of approximately 3,885m, will be the fifth well in the Lisewo area in the eastern portion of the company’s 49%-owned Fences license.

Currently, the Karmin-1 well is drilling below 1,740m of planned depth of approximately 2,460m with 3-D defined Rotliegend structure target on trend with the Roszkow-1 and Zaniemysl-3 wells, two of the company’s highest rate producing discoveries.

The company has also been approved to drill two additional wells in the Fences license — Miloslaw-4 is planned to start drilling in the fourth quarter in 2014 and Przybyslaw-1 is planned for the first quarter of 2015.

The Fences license, which covers approximately 850,000 acres, is operated by the Polish oil and gas company, PGNiG, and owns 51% of the working interest.

FX Energy also selected drilling contractor for the Angowice-1 well, which targets a Devonian reefoidal buildup, in the Edge license.

Located approximately 12km west of the Tuchola wells, the Angowice-1 well is scheduled to commence drilling in approximately five to six weeks.
