Under the $200m contract, ShawCor’s Bredero Shaw pipe coating division will provide pipeline coating and other services in connection with the Shah Deniz Stage 2 development project.
Work under the contracts will be carried out from plants within Bredero Shaw’s EMAR region.
The Shah Deniz Stage 2 project will add a further 16 billion cubic meters per year (bcma) of gas production to the approximately 9 bcma produced by Shah Deniz Stage 1.
The contract scope also includes the application of a full suite of coatings, including Thermotite multilayer polypropylene insulation, anti-corrosion and concrete weight coatings.
Coating will begin in late 2014 and continue through the 2015 to 2018 period.
Bredero Shaw is also bidding on other contracts related to the Shah Deniz Stage 2 project.
