ABB’s delivery will target the reduction of carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide emissions from fossil fuels by enabling more hydropower generated in the north to be fed into the central electrical grid.

We are very pleased to work with Empresa Nacional de Electricidade to connect people in Angola with a stable source of power that will help to improve the nation’s living conditions.
The power system will comprise two substations, in Gabela and Quileva, and a series compensation system to be installed at Gabela. The system will be controlled and monitored with a MicroScada installation to help prevent disturbance, plan power consumption, and provide control over the power supply with real-time data from the substations.
The MicroScada control system will also be prepared for integration with a planned national control center.
