The 20MW Pezzi facility will be built on the Antas River, between the municipalities of Bom Jesus and Jaquirana, while the 29MW Serra dos Cavalinhos II project will be located in the municipalities of Sao Francisco de Paula and Monte Alegre dos Campos.
Alstom will supply two Kaplan ‘S’ turbines, two generators, two speed controllers and two voltage regulators for each project.
Brookfield Renewable Power plans to install between 100MW and 150MW of hydropower plants per year over the next five years.
