Samsung and Pattern also secured a C$580m ($519m) construction and term loan financing form 10 financial institutions.
Under the contract, Siemens will install the SWT-2.3-101 wind turbines for the Armow wind project, which is currently under construction in the mu-nicipality of Kincardine.

Capable of generating clean power for approximately 70,000 Ontario homes, the project will create over 200 jobs during construction and 15 permanent jobs during operation.
The project, which is expected to commence commercial operation by Q4 2015, will be supported by Siemens’ wind turbine Service and Maintenance Distribution Centre in Chatham, Ontario.
Siemens will manufacture all 273 49m blades at its blade facility in Tillsonburg, Ontario, while 91 towers for the project will be built locally at CS Wind’s facility in Windsor using Ontario-made steel.
The contract also includes a three-year service and maintenance agreement.
Pattern Development chief executive officer Mike Garland said: "With construction underway at Armow Wind, we are using Siemens wind turbines and Ontario-made blades and towers at all four new wind projects across the province, creating thousands of construction and manufacturing jobs in Ontario."
