The La Caridad power plant, which will be located in the Mexican state of Sonora, is scheduled to begin commercial operation in 2013.
Siemens will supply the SGT6-5000F gas turbine, SST-900 steam turbine, electric generators, heat-recovery steam generator, and the complete electrical and SPPA-T3000 Instrumentation & Control equipment for the power plant.
The company will also provide long-term operation and maintenance services for the plant that will generate electricity for Minera Mexico’s copper mines.
