Under the contracts, SkyPower will build, finance, own and operate each of the 13 solar parks on purchased or leased land.

The solar power projects will each occupy between 75-100 acres of land and are spread across Ontario, Canada.

Each of solar parks are expected to have the capacity to produce enough energy to power approximately 1,000 homes per year or a total of 13,000 homes per year each year for the next 20 years.

SkyPower president and CEO Kerry Adler said that the Ontario government’s long-term energy plan provides a road map for moving to cleaner forms of energy and as a catalyst for job creation and investment.
