The value of the contract is €260 million and entails the construction of a rock-fill dam with an asphalt core, 145 metres in height, with a volume of 11.5 million m3, intake works, spillway and open-air power plant for an installed power of 400 MW and 1100GWh/year.
Cetin is a sustainable project, capable of supplying Turkey and Europe with clean energy, and creating jobs and local development. The project will bring environmental and economic benefits to the area. It will furthermore increase the emission-free generating capacity in Turkey and at the same time provide significant economic benefits.
The Salini Impregilo Group again confirms its role as a global player in the water segment. It has been active for many years in Turkey where it is currently involved in the construction of a section of the high speed Ankara-Istanbul railway line (Köseköy-Gebze) and the Gaziantep Hospital Campus.
