The South African Department of Mineral Resources issued a notice on 12 March 2011 to temporarily suspend operations in the underground workplaces at this mine.
The notice was issued pursuant to section 54 of the Mine Health and Safety Act (South Africa) following a fall of ground.
The company has resumed all mining operations, with the exception of the bord and pillar section, where the fall of ground occurred.
First Uranium said that mining within the bord and pillar section will be resumed early next week.
