Mr Waessman has over 30 years of professional experience in reactor safety and technology issues, nuclear management, operation and maintenance.
During the past five years, Mr Waessman has been director of boiling water reactor engineering, nuclear services, at Westinghouse Electric Sweden, a Toshiba company.
Mr Waessman will take on the new function from February 1, 2008. He will report directly to Vattenfall’s president and CEO Lars Josefsson and he will be the group’s controller in nuclear safety issues and the executive group management’s nuclear expert.
