MapFrame said that it will compress and extend PPL Electric Utilities’s Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) geographic information systems (GIS) throughout the enterprise and work seamlessly with the Ventyx mobile workforce management application to provide PPL Electric Utilities field crews a map-centric view of their work orders.
MapFrame’s FieldSmart View is the core map-viewing application on which all FieldSmart applications are based. View will replace paper maps at PPL Electric Utilities and provide an easy-to-use interface for field workers to query, locate, navigate and redline their ESRI GIS data, MapFrame said.
