Mr Wirth has over 17 years of investor relations experience in the energy business. He has developed strong relationships with energy analysts, institutional investors and other industry participants. Mr Wirth served as the director of investor relations for Western Gas Resources from 1990 until the company was sold to Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in 2006.
From 1990 through 1994, he also served as treasurer of Western Gas, where he directed all corporate communications, cash management, credit and collections, risk management activities including insurance and bond programs, human resources and general administration of the company.
