Reuters cited a source at the central Chilean facility that the refinery is expected to resume operation with full production this week.
Operations at the Topping II distillation plant, which processes up to 40,000 barrels per day, and at four other units were stopped following a fire accident, as a preventive measure.
The refinery is also undergoing a planned maintenance.
The source said: "The maintenance has finished, including the plant revision after the fire of some weeks ago, and now the progressive restart of the complex has begun.
"Towards the end of this week, the entire refinery will be fully operational."
The state oil firm ENAP-operated Aconcagua refinery, which has a total capacity of 104,000 barrels per day, can produce the majority of fuel consumed in Santiago, reports Reuters.
