Mr Lawson sat as an independent member of the Senate and retired from that position in September 2004.
Mr Lawson also holds positions as a director of a number of US companies. Most notably, he is chairman and senior partner of Impact Capital Group, an international investment intermediary and hybrid financial advisory group providing services to domestic, international and multinational organizations including both private and publicly traded companies.
