Under the contracts, around 755km power transmission lines will be fitted in the regions of Allaith, Bisha, Duba, Madina, Mahayil, and Tabuk. The project is expected to take 29 months to complete.
SEC chief executive Ali bin Saleh al-Barrak said these contracts will help in setting up of double circuit aerial transmission lines.
In addition, the deals would help to further bolster the national grid and meet the increasing demand for electricity in the Kingdom.
The firm has also signed a $111m contract with the National Water Company (NWC) to supply treated water to five of its plants, reports Arab News.
Under a 25-year agreement which starts from 2016, the treated water will be delivered to electricity-generating stations at Qassim, Hail, Rafha, Quarriyat and Wadi Al Duwasir.
