Under the latest order, the company will execute an 800kV high-voltage, direct current (HVDC) transmission line tower package TW-05 from Champa to Kurukshetra.

According Emco in a a stock exchange filing the order is part of the 800 KV HVDC overhead transmission line network which is to be laid from Champa in Chhattisgarh to Kurukshetra in Haryana.

The transmission line is designed to carry 6,000MW of power produced at generating stations in the state of Chhattisgarh to India’s Northern Grid.

In addition, the order also includes supply of galvanised steel towers which Emco is planning to produce at its Asoj facility in the state of Gujarat.

Emco bagged this project after surpassing a stringent qualification requirement from the client and against very stiff competition.
