Siemens and its partner Electromechanical will supply five turnkey transformer substations including switchgear for the power distribution network expansion. Siemens’ share of the order is worth a total of approximately EUR150m. The substations are scheduled for completion by 2013.

Abu Dhabi is expanding its electricity supply network on an ongoing basis in order to keep pace with the rising demand for energy.
