This program of drilling will assess a number of previously untested uranium anomalies that have been defined in airborne radiometric data, and which have been subsequently validated with reconnaissance geological mapping and ground radiometric sampling.
The Sese uranium project comprises of two 100% owned prospecting licenses located in NE Botswana, approximately 50km southwest of the town of Francistown. The project is situated close to the sealed highway between Francistown and Gaborone and is easily accessible.
The project covers an area of Karoo sediments where very high background uranium levels have been observed in publicly available regional airborne radiometric data. Calcrete horizons are locally developed immediately above the Karoo sediments in this part of Botswana, the company said.
A-Cap Resources is currently undertaking a feasibility study at their adjacent Letlhakane Project where widespread and continuous uranium mineralization in the Calcrete and in the underlying Karooaged sandstones has been discovered.
A-Cap has defined indicated and inferred resources which cover a large area, and which extend to the tenement boundary with African Energy’s Sese prospecting license.
Infill drilling is also planned at the Gojwane prospect, which was discovered during the second half of 2009, the company said.
