The eight service stations came into Sonae’s ownership during its acquisition of Carrefour Portugal in 2007, reported Thomson Financial.
Galp has said in a statement that it was awaiting regulatory approval for the agreement and also noted that it has a joint venture in place with Sonae to operate its Tangerina outlets in a similar such agreement, according to Thomson Financial.
