The company secured a contract from Keppel Merlimau Cogen (KMC), a unit of Keppel Energy, to build a new 2x400MW power plant in Singapore in October 2010.
The engineering, procurement and construction contract includes the construction of the power units and associated long-term service agreements.
Alstom is suppling two GT26 gas turbines, two steam turbines, two heat recovery steam generators and the ALSPA Series 6 integrated control system for the project.
When completed, the new facility will increase KMC’s total power generating capacity to 1,300MW.
