This will be the first drilling that will be undertaken on the property since 2003 & 2008, when 17 holes in total were drilled in the southeast part of the property.
Drill intercept results included 10.70gpt of gold and 516gpt silver over 1.5m, 8.70 gpt gold and 503gpt silver over 1.61m, 1.55gpt gold and 91.1gpt silver over 0.40m and 0.402gpt gold and 6.60gpt silver over 1.55m.
Programs of geophysics, rock-chip and soil sampling, and geologic mapping have been completed covering an area of over 15sq km.
Five distinct targets have been identified from Gammon Gold’s GyC property boundary in the south to the northern boundary of the La Bufa property.
The targets are all focused on the ‘lower volcanic’ or older rocks and historic production has been estimated at over 2 million ounces of gold and 28 million ounces of silver.
Also Gammon Gold has recently reported inferred resources of over 1 million ounces of gold and 45.6 million ounces of silver on its GyC property.
Lincoln is now finalizing its environmental reviews and permitting and is about to choose its drill contractor.
