Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) for the fiscal year 2007 rose by 10% to E7.9 billion, and the operating result was up by 15% to E6.5 billion. The company said that this growth was based on the positive trend in the power generation business and good performance in the trading business.

Recurrent net income, which is net income adjusted to exclude one-off effects, amounted to just under E3 billion for the fiscal year 2007, 21% more than in 2006. Cash flow from operating activities minus capital expenditure on property, plant and equipment amounted to some E2 billion, down by 12% year on year.

The RWE Group aims to increase the operating result by an average of 5% organic growth per year during the 2008-12 period. The group intends to increase recurrent net income by an annual 5% to 10% on average through 2012.
