“Seventy percent of households will soon use gas,” said Indonesia’s President Yudhoyono.
Yudhoyono said “At the same time, we issued a policy to convert energy from kerosene to gas”.
The government has also offered subsidies for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for households, which is a part of the energy conversion program. Apart from households, plants and chemical industry also require gas in vast volumes.
The government has guaranteed there will be sufficient gas supply for local requirements. Hence, gas exploration is being intensified in order to meet medium and long-term needs.
Furthermore, the government is exporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) to many nations. The high need for gas locally and globally has opened up new job and business opportunities.
The government is building the infrastructure to support efforts to meet gas requirements.
“Your investments will later be useful not just for our country, but also for a better world,” Yudhoyono concluded.
