“We are pleased to welcome the California headquarters of our water utility to our city,” said Coronado Mayor Casey Tanaka. “For 35 years California American Water has provided our residents with high-quality water service and we are pleased to have their staff join us on the island.”
“For California American Water, it is very important to be located in an area where we provide water service. This will be a great win for our company and the City of Coronado. Coronado provides a great climate for business; it’s close to San Diego, the freeways and the airport,” said Rob MacLean, President of California American Water. “When our lease was up, we seized the opportunity to move our offices into an area where we provide water service, with no additional costs to the company.”
California American Water has about 300 employees throughout California and revenues of about $128 million. The company also has an office located at 1019 Cherry Avenue in Imperial Beach, which accepts payments and has a customer service representative available.
