The refining unit has been formed in a joint venture agreement with Nepco.
Financial details for the new refining unit were not disclosed.
Farrow Distillation is Petrostar’s inaugural modular distillation development project, which will be located in Southern Alberta.
Petrostar Petroleum CEO R Mackenzie Loree said the company values the support that its shareholders and interest parties have shown for the new unit.
"Petrostar has reached a pivotal milestone with the incorporation of Farrow Distillation Corp. Management has some core objectives to achieve, but we are confident that we will stay within the timeline that has been previously disclosed," Loree added.
The new entity will have management members from both the companies.
