It’s considered our largest investment, said Stuart Paton, Dana Petroleum’s technical and commercial director.

That is about 35 percent of our total group investment internationally. We have about 25 percent of our production here in Egypt, Paton said.

We should clearly, in the current investment climate, be looking carefully at where we are going to spend our money. But Egypt is fundamental for us, Paton added.

Within the portfolio we have at the moment, it (the EGAS bid round) is relatively deep water and high exposure for a company of our size, Paton said.

The EGPC round is coming up soon and that fits much more with our portfolio, Paton said.
