The company will supply three electro-hydraulic steel tube production umbilical’s of 65km for the fields.
The umbilicals will be manufactured at Aker’s manufacturing facility in Alabama, US.
The umbilical’s will provide hydraulic, electrical and fiber optic service to the subsea fields located in the Walker Ridge Area of the Gulf of Mexico in water depths of approximately 7,000ft.
Aker Solutions president-subsea North America Erik Wiik said the company’s current order is a repeat contract from Chevron.
