US-based Southcross Energy Partners have completed the construction of its gas pipeline called Bee Line pipeline in US.

The 91.7km-long and 20in in diameter pipeline has been constructed to transport liquids rich gas from central Eagle Ford shale area to the company’s Woodsboro and Bonnie View processing and fractionation complex.

The total capacity of the Bee Line is 320 million cubic feet per day. With the completion of the pipeline, the company now has 4,393.5km of pipeline.

Southcross Energy Partners chairman, president and chief executive David Biegler said the completion of the pipeline is a part of the firm’s strategy to provide integrated natural gas gathering, processing, fractionation, and transportation services in the Eagle Ford shale area.

"The completion of the Bee Line pipeline provides us with significant additional pipeline capacity for liquids rich gas to meet the growing needs of our customers in the Eagle Ford shale, as well as capacity for expansion of our Woodsboro processing plant," Biegler added.
