Chevron’s new product is in response to the expected growth of light-duty diesel passenger vehicles. Techron D is Chevron’s detergent additive that helps keep fuel injectors clean.
Chevron Diesel with Techron D reportedly helps guard against corrosion that can cause fuel system damage and the formation of gums that can plug fuel filters. The Techron D-laced diesel is said to be formulated for improved lubricity.
Danny Roden, vice president of Chevron Global Marketing for the Americas, said: Our retail customers in the Sacramento area will now be able to experience a new level of diesel fuel quality.
