The automated EFS are mini-refineries that produce ethanol in a compact machine. These systems are computer touch screen-controlled and feature a UNIX-based operating system on the primary automation computer, an Apple, Inc. Mac Mini for reliability. Automation software was created utilizing extendable and proven SUN Microsystems, Inc./Oracle Corporation JAVA programming language.
The MES will utilize the same high quality stainless steel components without full automation.

Machines with more output capacities can be custom engineered and manufactured at the Dallas, Texas, facility. The components such as the stainless steel frames, tanks, and distillation columns are manufactured and assembled in the United States, providing local green collar job opportunities.
