The manufacturing plant is expected to produce 1,50,000 meters per month. It will enable the company to exclusively manufacture the meters to be supplied to its distribution utilities.

Bala Reddy, managing director of ICSA (India), said: “The total meter installation in India is 142 million while the replacement market potential is estimated to be 100 million meters. The SEM market in India is still in its nascent stage and therefore, devoid of any tough competition.

“With the new manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, we are definite to establish ourselves as a prominent player in this sector. ICSA is committed to innovate and provide products and services as per the increasing demands of industry to the best of its ability.”

ICSA (India) provides technology to power utilities. It also deploys infrastructure in distribution and transmission sectors for state utilities.
