The LNG terminal will have an initial capacity of 13 billion cu m/year of natural gas supplied from three 190,000-cu m storage tanks.

The terminal will be equipped with a jetty, unloading arms and pipes, storage tanks, systems for regasification and gas emission, a boil-off gas recovery system, a flare stack, a seawater pump system for vaporization, auxiliary systems, and a series of offices, control buildings, safety facilities, and shops specifically designed for operations.

Sener received the EPC contract as part of the TS LNG consortium, joint venture between Techint and Sener for the construction of a LNG Terminal.

Sener which owns and oversees the development of the TS LNG consortium will start the design, engineering and construction phases of the terminal.

Construction will be complete in a period of four years, with the plant starting up in 2015, reports ogj.com.

The company said, Sener as a part of this consortium is also finalizing construction of the GATE LNG terminal in Rotterdam in the Netherlands, with an export capacity of up to 16 billion cu m/year plus another 20% at peak, with four storage tanks.
