The company said both oil and gas production is pipeline connected through a central battery (100% Spartan), eliminating the need to truck production and providing for greater operating efficiencies in the future.
With the upgrades in place, the company will have the capability of handling in excess of 2,000 barrels of oil per day and associated gas at its Cynthia production facility. The facility will be utilized for future drills both within the Cynthia Unit and on Spartan’s non unit lands.
Spartan also reported that is has recently drilled four (2.83 net) additional Cardium horizontal wells in its Pembina core area. One (0.47 net) of the wells has been completed and tested and is awaiting tie in.
During the test, the company recovered 100% of its frac fluid, following which the well was shut in for equipping. The remaining three (2.36 net) are at various stages of completion.
In Spartan’s Viewfield core area in southeast Saskatchewan, the company has recently completed drilling a Bakken horizontal well (non operated, 0.125 net) and is currently drilling a second horizontal Bakken well (0.42 net).
