The deposit contains 380,000 tonnes of VHM at a 2.5% heavy mineral (HM) cut-off while drilling also confirmed an 80% increase in JORC resource over 8 kilometers of strike length.
Also, an additional inferred resource of 3.44 million tonnes at 4.6% VHM with 160,000 tonnes of VHM has been noted on the western strandline.
Image Resources managing director Peter Davies remarked: "This result is a key step towards development of Boonanarring as a high grade, low capital cost, rapid payback project."
With these findings, the total defined Boonanarring resource totals to 18.8 million tonnes, at 5.9% VHM, for 1.1-million tonnes of HM.
Image has also recorded 26% increase in HM at a cut off grade of 2.5% from previous estimates of 11%.
Also the eastern strandlines comprise an indicated resource of 2.9 million tonnes at 9.1% VHM, with 31% of HM recorded to be Zircon.
Meanwhile, in western strandline, inferred resource of indicates 6.5%HM, of which 13.4% is Zircon.
"The overall valuable heavy mineral grade and particularly the zircon grade are higher than most other existing or planned operations," said Davies.
