The expanded facility will house engineering operations for the design, manufacture and service of power plant components as well as the company’s service business.
Over the next five years, the company expects to create more than 220 new jobs at this location. Siemens currently has 780 employees in Charlotte.

We have manufacturing locations strategically positioned all over the world in order to best serve our customers with solutions that are delivered more quickly and cost efficiently.”
Siemens-built power plants already supply one-third of North America’s electricity.
Generators and the servicing of steam turbines and generators are part of Siemens’ solutions for an efficient, environmentally friendly energy supply. Modernizing the power plants increases their efficiency, and every increase in efficiency means less CO2 emissions and thus better climate compatibility.
