The company will design, install and commission the filtration and compression systems, after-cooling, de-hydration, metering and utility equipment at the Hill Top Farm facility.
EDF Energy UK gas storage director Mark O’Brien said that this project will provide valuable capacity at a time when the country is looking to increase its gas storage capabilities and will support EDF Energy’s gas strategy in helping the company to provide secure supplies to its power stations and its customers.
The project is expected to be completed in July 2012, and AMEC said that it will enable EDF Energy to significantly increase its gas reserves.
