The facility will be based on Solvay’s patented Epicerol technology and will produce 100 kilo-tons per year of epichlorohydrin from glycerine.
The contract, which is scheduled to be completed in 2013, will be executed by Technip’s operating center in Shanghai, China.
Technip provides project management, engineering and construction services for the oil and gas industry, and Solvay is a provider of specialty polymers, vinyls, essential and special chemicals.
