Under the terms of the agreement, annual electric revenues will increase by $29.5m and natural gas annual revenues by $4.6m.

If the agreement is approved, a residential customer using an average of 1,000kWh of electricity per month will see a monthly increase of $5.62, or 7.8%, for a revised (monthly) bill of $77.41.

A residential customer using an average of 69 therms of natural gas per month will see a monthly increase of $2.17, or 3.6%, for a revised (monthly) bill of $62.20.

The new rates will become effective from 1 December 2010, and as part of the settlement agreement, Avista will not file a general rate case in Washington before 1 April 2011.
