The contract also includes supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines, along with its service solution, VestasOnline Business SCADA.
The project that is being developed by Lukerg Renew, joint venture between ERG Renew and Lukoil , which comprises a total of 42 V90-2.0MW wind turbines.
Vestas CEU Romania managing director Catalina Dragomir stated that the Topolog contract would support the country in meeting its estimated targets of National Renewable Energy Action Plan.
This is Vestas’ first project with LUKERG Renew in Romania and it shows their confidence in Vestas’ capabilities to handle large projects in an important emerging market for renewable energy, Catalina added.
Meanwhile, the company has scheduled the delivery of the wind turbines during the latter half of 2013.
The Topolog project in Tulcea County is expected to produce 200GWh per year catering to energy requirements of more than 60,000 households.
