The new software as a service (SaaS) solution is based on a cloud computing environment that supports the entire SmartPlant Enterprise portfolio.

It eliminates hardware and infrastructure requirements and allows user access to the SmartPlant Enterprise applications, plant and project maintenance environments, through an URL.

The SaaS allows users to access relevant data and documents essential in making decisions and supporting work processes.

Intergraph Cloud Services vice president and global director Kevin Holmes said using the SaaS, all the plant models, data, drawings, and documents can be viewed, created, edited, and retrieved from SmartPlant Cloud.

"SmartPlant Cloud allows customers and their subcontractors in capital projects and operating facilities to design workflows, standardize processes and create templates that can be replicated across projects, teams and regions," Holmes added.

SmartPlant Cloud quickly deploys, provides security and scalable environment to support all sizes of projects and assets for both the owner operators and engineering, procurement and construction companies regardless of global location.
