POWERGRID is now in the process of establishing the 1,200kV ultra high voltage transmission
system at Bina in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
According to Areva T&D, this development will facilitate field testing of equipment before deploying the technology for commercial purposes.
The company will provide 1,200kV capacitor voltage transformer, disconnectors and digital current transformers for the project.
The high voltage activities for this project are under the operational control of Alstom Grid and carried out in India through Areva T&D.
