This contract follows a deal signed in June 2011 between the companies to build the plant’s two 417MW gas-fired units on an engineering, procurement and construction basis.
Each unit is equipped with Alstom’s GT26 gas turbine, steam turbine, generator, control system and heat recovery steam generator.
The latest service contract, which is for about 20 years, includes complete day-to-day operation and maintenance of the two gas-fired combined-cycle units.
The Tzafit power plant is expected to commence commercial operation in 2014.
