According to the companies, the smart metering products will meet the stringent requirements for the Chinese market set by the State Grid Corporation of China and China Southern Power Grid Co.
The new partnership will leverage Echelon’s experience in energy control networking systems and Holley Metering’s breadth of metering solutions and customer relationships.
Echelon’s energy control networking systems include power line control and communications hardware and software components for smart grid applications.
Echelon president and CEO Ron Sege said this partnership will create a unique energy control networking platform, based on the best technologies, to deliver unsurpassed reliability, performance, capabilities and value to the market.
