ONGC Chairman AK Hazarika said the company will invest in nuclear power projects but has not yet decided if it will invest in existing stations or planned ones, reports Bloomberg.
The company is mining in the Cauvery area in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu in partnership with Uranium Corp of India and plans to explore in Andhra Pradesh.
The company is in talks with Nuclear Power Corp. of India for the formation of a potential partnership.
According to the federal planning commission, India plans to increase its nuclear capacity to 60GW by 2030.
