GII project is a new 230kV phase angle regulator controlled 34 mile long transmission line that is capable of supplying 400MW of electricity from a substation in Plattsburgh in New York to a new Vermont Electric Power Company substation to be located near Essex in Vermont.
The Transmission Customer Open Solicitation for the project will be carried out as per the new guidelines issued by the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
Anbaric Transmission founder Ed Krapels said the company is following FERC’s new open solicitation process to select customers for its GII transmission project.
"We expect to attract substantial interest in the capacity of the line," Krapels added.
"This solicitation process is one of many steps in a long process whereby the environmental, economic and grid reliability value of this project to the participants and to the region will be established."
The GII Project will be executed by Anbaric’s wholly-owned subsidiary, GII Development.
